Due to expanding business needs, The Ballarat Veterinary Practice is seeking to employ several dedicated, enthusiastic and committed professionals to build on its pool of casual Veterinary Nurses.
Ideally, those with nursing qualifications would be preferred, however we are ultimately looking for the right attitude and personality to fit within our team and culture. With this in mind, these roles would suit applicants who are currently undertaking Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing studies, and who are passionate about providing exceptional animal care, and who are dedicated to animal health and wellbeing.
The role will consist of duties such as:
- Animal handling
- Cleaning and sterilising equipment
- Assisting vets in consultations
- Basic medical procedures such as taking blood, placing catheters and monitoring anaesthetics
- General patient care
