Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a technique of placing fine needles into specific points on the body in order to treat a variety of diseases. It helps to stimulate the body to repair itself and promote healing. Acupuncture is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and can
be used either by itself or in conjunction with western medicine, to treat these conditions.
Acupuncture can be of assistance in chronic conditions that are sometimes not able to be completely controlled with medications, such as arthritis and other chronic pain conditions.
Acupuncture is very safe and has minimal side effects. However, treatment may be contraindicated in pregnant animals, highly stressed animals, patients with severe skin infection, and certain cancer. A full veterinary examination will be performed to determine how often treatments are needed. For further information, please email reception@bvp.com.au.
